DiMy -vs- DIY
Our YouTube videos and website are DiMy (Do-it-Myself) content where we share how we do things we are frequently asked about. This information is not intended as tutorials. If you decide to DIY (Do-it-Yourself), we recommend that you do your own research, follow applicable safety guidelines, and consult qualified professionals before applying techniques, performing repairs, or making vehicle or equipment modifications.
Tools, equipment, chemicals, automotive products, and the techniques associated with their use can cause serious injury or property damage if used improperly. Use only tools, equipment, and products that are appropriate for the task, in good working condition where applicable, and within their intended purpose and operating limits. Read and follow all manufacturer instructions, warnings, safety procedures, labels, and applicable Safety Data Sheets (SDS/MSDS). Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) should meet current safety standards, be appropriate for the particular tools, products, chemicals, and work being performed, and be worn as required. Keep tools, equipment, chemicals, automotive products, and other potentially hazardous materials safely out of the reach of children and pets. Always consider hazards such as fumes and vapors, ventilation requirements, fire or ignition sources, skin and eye exposure, and other precautions specific to the work or products involved.
Chemicals, automotive fluids, contaminated materials, and other potentially hazardous products should be handled, stored, and disposed of responsibly and in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, manufacturer instructions, and local disposal requirements. Take appropriate precautions to prevent spills, runoff, or other contamination of soil, water, property, or the surrounding environment.
Performing any of these techniques may be dangerous. Attempt at your own risk.

Motorcycle Safety
ATGATT: All The Gear, All The Time — is the only standard that Hazard Sports can encourage. While we may sometimes be guilty of breaking the ATGATT recommendation ourselves, we do not encourage others to do so. What you see us wearing, or not wearing, in a particular video, photograph, or other content should not be interpreted as a recommendation of what you should wear. A properly sized and appropriately rated helmet, along with protective clothing, footwear, gloves, eye protection, and other body protection appropriate for the rider, vehicle, activity, and riding conditions, is always best practice. Riders and passengers should research the risks associated with their particular activity, use properly fitting safety equipment that meets applicable current safety standards, follow equipment manufacturer instructions and recommendations, and comply with applicable laws and regulations. Motorsports and recreational riding involve inherent risks, and protective equipment cannot eliminate all possibility of injury or death. Ultimately, each adult rider is responsible for making informed decisions about their own safety and level of protection. When a minor is involved, those decisions, including whether the minor should participate at all and what protective equipment, supervision, training, and riding environment are appropriate, are the responsibility of the minor's parent or legal guardian.
Rider Safety: Riding safely involves much more than protective gear. Riders should understand and follow established motorcycle safety practices, including those taught by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF), and review the motorcycle operator or safety manual provided by their state Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or other applicable licensing agency. Riders are responsible for knowing and complying with all applicable local and state laws, regulations, licensing requirements, and rules governing the motorcycles, vehicles, equipment, roads, trails, or property they use. Just as importantly, know your own limits. Skill, experience, road and weather conditions, fatigue, physical or mental condition, medications, alcohol, drugs, and other forms of impairment can all affect the ability to operate a motorcycle or other vehicle safely. Established safety practices are the baseline, but riders should further adjust or stop riding when fatigue, changing conditions, or their own abilities call for greater caution. Additionally, when a minor is involved, the parent or legal guardian is responsible for ensuring the minor follows the applicable safety practices, rules, and requirements described above, as well as determining the appropriate level of training, supervision, riding environment, and participation based on the minor's age, abilities, experience, and applicable laws.
